Everybody knows guacamole is a Super Bowl essential, but most people have no idea 9,000 people are injured every year while cutting avocados. With over a million pounds of avocados consumed during the Super Bowl, we saw a lot of potential avo-injuries for one very special Sunday.
By raising awareness about this very real, and very precarious kitchen pitfall, we injected Wholly Guacamole into the biggest snacking conversation of the year.
We made a typical As seen on TV style infomercial and created a real policy in the form of a product to keep the hands of guac fans safe.
We even got a helping hand from the Conan show.
