Once a pioneer of organic, preservative-free kibble, Nutro’s days seemed numbered in the new era of “natural” dog food, with hundreds of new similar options. And their marketing was kinda outdated and a little out of touch. But that’s where we came in! I led a squad that took Nutro from meh to must-have by reimagining the brand for millennial pet parents. We leveraged the momentum of “Clean Eating” for people, with “Feeding Clean” for dogs. And since clean food boosts your energy, dogs who eat clean, get dirty.
We helped Nutro transition into their new brand image by redefining their brand strategy, redesigning their brand identity, updating their product packaging and giving their main brand website a much needed refresh.
Our work for Nutro increased product sales, helped the agency win two new businesses from Mars Pet Care and helped Nutro expand to Australian and Chinese markets. It also won us an Effie for Brand Effectiveness.
